Brotherhood of the Blues
Fronted by three talented, young, Aboriginal men, Brotherhood of the Blues is a 10-piece band built on friendship, passion, and of course, a shared love of music.
Luke Murray, John Cieslak and Zac Paden met at RED Inc, a local disability service provider in Lismore, and started writing songs together based on their own life experiences.
In 2014, the band caught the attention of renowned producer Anthony Lycenko who provided a space at Studio 301 in Byron Bay and bonded with Brotherhood of the Blues over the process of recording their debut EP.
It was the EP, which sold out at the CD launch, and the band’s successful performances at Byron Bay Bluesfest 2016 that have propelled Brotherhood of the Blues from the unknown and proved they are a talent to watch.
Over the past two years, the band has been busy working on their documentary, Access All Areas, which explores the incredible Brotherhood of the Blues journey and some of the challenges artists living with a disability face, as well as writing and recording their new full-length album 'Right Back Home" both of are to be released in 2019.
