Byron Bay Bluesfest

George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic

“Funk. It’s like musical Viagra. It keeps you ready to go. It gives you energy.” – George Clinton

GEORGE CLINTON & PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC will, quite simply, take you on the ride of your musical life when funk-master George Clinton rolls out his final “awe-funk-some” groove on the Bluesfest stage next year. George Clinton is retiring in May 2019 and this is definitely the FINAL EVER SHOWS of The P-Funk Collective at Bluesfest.

Known globally for his outlandish costume and his mastery of intergalactic funk – George Clinton and this gathering of the P-Funk Collective will be looking to "Tear The Roof Off The Sucker" with their 'awe-funk-some' groove as they for sure turn Australia's youth into "Maggot Brains".

In a fifty plus year career, George Clinton has earned his Grandfather Of Funk tag producing ‘Freaky Styley’ for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, collaborated with Kendrick Lamar, Primal Scream, Sly Stone, Carlos Santana, Outkast, the Wu Tang Clan, Tupac and so many more. Many hip-hop artists have recognised his work and, alongside James Brown, he is one of the most sampled artists ever.

So ….Bluesfest …make way – ONE LAST TIME - for one of the planet's greatest live music shows.
